4 Books to Aid Emotional Healing

As I move forward on my own healing journey, I am amazed at how profoundly our physical bodies are impacted by our emotional health. True healing begins on an emotional level. Let go of the past; stop worrying about the future; live in the present, and let the healing begin!

The following are books that I have found very helpful in understanding and strengthening emotional health. They have made an impact on my life, so I would like to share them with you.

Tara Bennett-Goleman teaches how mindfulness can help us transform our emotions from stumbling blocks that cause us to react to strengths that lead to thoughtful action.

Do you ever feel trapped or even enslaved by your emotions? In Emotional Freedom, Judith Orloff gives practical solutions for keeping negative emotions from ruling our lives.

Clinging too tightly to emotions, thoughts, ideas, or things creates a life of struggle. Judith Orloff teaches us how to accept surrender and find abundance in all aspects of our lives.

“…ego inhibits true success by preventing a direct and honest connection to the world around us.” In Ego is the Enemy, Ryan Holiday shows us how important it is to get out of our own way so that our lives can be full of purpose and meaning.

Each one of these books has taught me about an aspect of myself that was tripping me up. The thoughts and techniques these authors share have helped me begin to liberate myself from some habits and mindsets that have caused me nothing but trouble all my life. I share these with you in the hope that they may help you on your own path of emotional healing and peace.
